About the OAA

The OAA was founded in 2011 as an appendant body of the Apostolic Church of the Pleroma, offering ACP clergy a path of tradtional Hermetic Initiation, in complementary concert with the mystico-theurgical path of the CKSM. The OAA may be considered as a para-Masonic order which integrates and incorporates a number of initiatic lineages, whose current the OAA embodies, while remaining free from dependency on any external body, council, or power, except for the Frater Superior of the Order (Fr. L.O., XIX°), and the Patriarch of the ACP (Tau Phosphoros).

Nor does the OAA claim any official relationship with any other Fraternal, Masonic, or Initiatory Order or Society. Likewise, while the OAA incorporates, as noted above, the linages of a number of initiatic currents, it in no wise claims to represent any of the bodies from which these lineages ultimately arise. Even in cases where the OAA has been specifically chartered to form a Supreme Power of a Rite within its midst, this empowerment has been wholly intergrated into the OAA system, which stands alone on its own merits as a body of practical Initiation.

The rites and teachings of the OAA have their basis in the premier bodies of Hermetic, Occult, and Alchemical initiation of the 18th and 19th centuries, such as the Order of African Architects, the Asiatic Brethren, Cagliostro's Haute Maçonnerie Egyptienne, the Rites of Misraim and of Memphis, the Hermetic Brotherhood of Luxor, the Oriental Templars, and others; as well as in the most important advancements of the 20th and 21st centuries, made in the various fields of esoteric thought and practice. These rites and teachings are are assimilated into a workable system of XVII° of initiation and instruction, and two administrative grades.

The OAA complements the Holy Orders and grades of the ACP and CKSM, together forming a Sacred Triad working toward the complete initiation of the individual. The OAA has labored for several years in complete secrecy, but the hierophany of the Order, with the approval of the Patriarch of the ACP, has decided that it may be beneficial to those interested in the operations of the ACP to offer a more comprehensive overview of the scope of activities in which the ordinand participates. It is with this view that we present this glimpse into one of our most secret of inner conclaves...
